My name is Ridge and I'm a Potter.
I believe exercising our divine creativity gathers light into our lives. Through working with clay, I create functional art that fosters connection—to self, to others, and to a higher power. My work is inspired by everyday objects and the quiet rituals that shape our lives—gathering for meals, sharing conversation, pausing to reflect. I consider the subtle details that enhance these moments: a confident grip, a handle that invites ease, a lip that meets the mouth with grace. These interactions between vessel and hand are intimate and fleeting, but deeply meaningful.
I come from a long line of potters. Though the craft skipped a few generations, I feel spiritually guided by both my ancestors and my God in continuing this tradition. I work with clays and glazes influenced by the rich, iconic landscape of Southern Utah. My handmade pots are meant to be used, cherished, and shared. I hope they accompany people through the rhythm of their lives and become vessels for memory, presence, and the beauty woven into our most familiar rituals.
